I help a charity event called "Georgia Has Talent" every year ever since 2018. All the donations we receive go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In my Senior year of high school, I asked the program organizer if it would be alright if I tried to livestream the whole event to YouTube. Here's the final product.
... The final project was rough. My school was built in the 50's and the camera equipment that I was able to get a hold of was from the 70's. Furthermore, the school-wifi was spotty. On top of it all though, I had no control over the audio. It kept being desynced and instruments would not play when they were supposed to. The person running essentially ignored me.
Nonetheless, if you ask me what my honestly opinions of this stream was. I'd always say that I am extremely proud of this. The bad quality of the show didn't truly matter too much because the show was in person. If you look at the date of the YouTube video, it dates the stream to March 7th, 2020. All Georgia schools shut down a week later on March 14th because of Covid-19. I wrote down everything that went wrong for this show, and we were able to make the entire show Virtual in 2021 because of this groundwork, and it was a great success, especially considering how the world was shut down then. The show also was in-person and virtual in 2022 and will likely be both in 2023.
